Hello all you fabulous Eighteen25 Readers! This is Katie from Just Add Sunshine Inc and I’m so excited to be back with you today sharing a fun, easy, and totally customized DIY project idea for painting to keep your desktop organized. As you may know by now, I LOVE color and using paint is such a quick and inexpensive way to add a pop of happiness into your home and office.
Today I’m using some of my favorite paint colors (you can find the names HERE on my last Eighteen25 blog post), some bare wood containers from the Hand Made Modern line at Target, foam brushes and painters tape. That’s it!
This is a fun, quick project that can be done in a half hour or so, and definitely something that little ones could take on and have fun with.
I added a strip of coordinating fabric to the smallest box for some added dimension.
I painted both the inside and outside of my containers and decided to make the geometric shape extra fun by painting each panel a different color. Just tape off the edges and paint a coat or two for each color. You can use sand paper to clean up the edges and to give them a more polished look.
Once they’re dry, fill those cuties up and enjoy their bright happiness!
Thanks so much for having me Jodie and Jen!!
