Valentine Candy Dishes

Feb22011 posted by Jodie and Jen 25 Comments

want a cute way to display your valentine candy?
or have a special someone that you need a little something for?
we have just the thing…
Valentine Candy Dishes

here’s what you do:

find:
-a cute bowl or dish (we found ours at target)
-a candlestick holder (we always find ours at thrift shops)
-spray paint (if you choose to paint your candlestick)
-E6000 glue

then:
-paint your candlestick and let it dry.
-adhere your candlestick to your bowl or dish with the E6000 and leave to dry for 24 hours.
-(we usually put something heavy on top to get a tight seal)
-fill it with your favorite valentine candy

and waa-laa!
ready to gift or keep.
so  sweet.
so so simple.

Good idea again! I've been known to make an impromptu cake/cookie plate by turning a bowl upside down and placing a plate on top of it (not gluing them). I've been meaning to buy an inexpensive bowl/plate and gluing them together for a more permanent version!

I did this with come covered candy dishes and made them into apothacarty jars that I love. I love this idea as well, I've seen those bowls and I have a few candle holders waiting for some love. Thanks SO much for the inspiration!

    FOR REAL?

Why don't I EVER have candlesticks? I need to get a stash. I have passed those bowls up at least 6 times this season. Because what was I going to do with them….really?

Oh, my husband is so mad at you right now! 🙂

Love this! And plus, isn't ANY excuse to use E6000….a good one? That stuff is fantastic!

Awesome idea! I'm just wondering how did you manage to wrap the cellophane around the bowl without the candlestick?
