I just got a box of new books in the mail and it makes me so excited to read! It got me thinking about all the past books I’ve read that hold a special place in my heart. (yes, I hold good books in my heart :)) I put together a list of those special books… they are not only good enough that you should read them, but you’ll probably want to re-read them too! Or at least I hope you love them as much as I do.
[FYI: The links to the books are amazon affiliate links. We do make a (very) small portion if you make a purchase. The links are mostly there for your convenience. You can also find most of these books at my favorite store, Target]

What book would you love to read again?
LOVE this post. I've read the Help from this list, but that is all. I would love to add the rest of these to my to-read list!
I've read five of those! I would love to reread those five: The Help, Wonder, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Book Thief, and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (though I can never recall the full title of that last one). The three books I own and reread over and over again are Christy by Catherine Marshall, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. Now I will have to look into the other five on your list. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, and I forgot Through Gates of Splendor by Elisabeth Elliot and Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. You have to read that last one.
Great list of books!
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn in HANDS DOWN my very favorite book of all time!! Definitely checking out the rest of these!
I've read almost all of these. They are all fabulous but my favorite is The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton. I actually LOVE all of her books. If you have not read The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. It's an absolute must! I have read it more than twice. 😉 It's my go to book suggestion whenever anyone asks me for a book suggestion.
Great List. I have read several of these per your suggestion. I love anything by Susanna Kearsly. The Winter Sea is a good one to start with. I also just read the last installment of His Fair Assassins by Robin LaFevers and really liked that series. I am also enjoying regency period books by Sarah M Eden.
You always have the BEST book lists!! I have read many of these…just finished the Book Thief…so good!!
I've read three of those! Right now I am reading The Goldfinch 🙂
I would love it if you would include why you enjoyed each of these books. It may make it easier for me to decide where to start. Thanks for the recommendations!
Hotel on the corner of bitter and sweet. great book. I’ve read half of yours and wrote down the others. thanks. Not sure you will ever read this as it is months since your post.
Love Hotel on the Corner…!! Thanks so much for commenting Paula! 🙂
I’ve read seven of these and they are some of my favourites too. Have you read Nancy Turner’s latest book – My Name is Resolute? It is brilliant.
I haven’t! I’ll have to check it out.. thanks for sharing! 🙂
Skeletons at the Feast and Sandcastle Girls…both by Chris Bojalian
Thanks for sharing Amy!!
The War That Saved My Life
Thanks for sharing… I’ll have to check that one out. I’ve never heard of it before.
If you like GOLDFINCH, you’ll love THE LITTLE FRIEND and A SECRET HISTORY by Donna Tartt
Great list. I’ve read 7 and I am excited to read the others. One of my favorites is “The Nightengale by Kristin Hannah. All her books are really good, but this is my favorite. Be sure to have a tissue
oh my GOODNESS!!! I love that book. 🙂 I made this list before I read that one. I should go ahead and add it to the list. haha.
I’ve read every one of these books! Y’all always have the best book recommendations that are right up my alley. I loved all of these, but “These is my Words” is one that I think about all the time.
Yay! These is my words is so good. It’s been a few years since I read it… probably time to read them again. 🙂
