after pulling out my halloween decor, i realized i was in need of a new banner.
so i grabbed a few supplies, turned my silhouette on and a few minutes later, i was looking for a spot to hang my new decoration.
what you’ll need
• ribbon
• cardstock – kraft, black + white
• adhesive
shapes from the silhouette online store
• 4 love banner flags (sized about 3.5″ wide + 5.2″ long)
• scallop nesting tags (sized about 3.6″)
• halloween garland bat (sized about 6″ long)
font used
• bebas neue (text size 393pt)
first step
cut out all of your shapes and letters (sizes are listed above). i placed rectangles at the top of my flags, slightly longer than my ribbon.
second step
• adhere everything together and run your ribbon through the notches.
third step
• hang 🙂
so simple, it’s a bit scary.
Just a reminder that tomorrow at 6am our Halloween Link Up Party starts!!
Can’t wait to see what you have been creating!

While I think this is absolutely adorable it will not be so simple for those of us without a Silhouette. I cannot afford one at this point if I want to be able to continue providing food for my family.
I loved the "old" eighteen25 gals and their tutorials, printables. Back then nearly every project did not involve a Silhouette, back then I actually spent more than 1 minute on your blog and old friends and family about you. Now I skip onto the next blog VERY quickly.
Enough with the Silhouette. You're just rubbing your wealth in the faces of those who follow blogs and tutorials to save money and create uniqueness on a BUDGET. 🙁

Dear Anonymous,
We love our silhouette and we will continue to use it and share the projects we make with it.
I'm sorry you feel like we are rubbing our "wealth" in your face. Not sure what wealth you assume we have, but we are sorry if we make you feel that way.
My sister Jamie works very hard to make printables and projects for our blog so it makes me pretty sad when someone takes the time to leave a comment that makes her feel bad.
Maybe we just aren't the right blog for you anymore and we are okay with that. We know we can't please everyone.
Have a great day!

I think you're all fabulous!! I don't have a Silhouette but I love the ideas and love the inspiration. It's too bad when some people feel they need to be so vocally critical 🙁 I think you're AWESOME!!

Holy cow, Batman! I was just checking to see if anyone else had asked you where you got the frame to make the chalkboard (I think I remember you posting about it in the past but didn't want to search back that far!), and was not expecting the rude comment from "Anonymous" who isn't even brave enough to put their real name! Love you girls and all you do. I don't have a Silhouette but I find other ways to make the same things if I really want to make them! Keep up the fantastic blog!

Thank you Danielle! My sister-in-law gave me that frame. It used to be a gold mirror until I took a few cans of spray paint to it. 🙂

I am swooning over that lovely frame…can you let me know where you got it???
And I love your ideas…I don't have a Silhouette either, but I figure out ways to make them work. I do love the printables that you also provide!!
Thanks 🙂

Thank you! That frame used to be a gold mirror. My sister-in-law gave it to me after much begging. 😉

I love the red frame here–not usually a "halloween" color, but it works great!

I do not have a Silhouette….never really had the desire for one…but just wanted to leave a comment after I read what one anonymous blogger said. I LOVE your blog…it's one of my favorites!! You ladies are so creative…thanks for all the awesome projects you provide us with day in and day out!

Love it ladies!

You could certainly see your skills within the paintings you write. The world hopes for more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. At all times go after your heart.

Can anyone tell me how to "link up" some of my Halloween projects? Thanks so much.
Jen says

I can't believe someone can be that rude! Well, I do have a Silhouette and appreciate all the inspiration I can find to use it. I am NOT wealthy and I own the Silhouette. You don't have to be wealthy to own one. This project could easily be done with paper and a scissors if she really wanted to make it. Thanks for all your inspiration and this banner is so adorable!! 🙂

Thank you.
