Hi, I’m Callye and I love to decorate cookies. As a matter of fact, I like it so much, I would almost say it’s an obsession! I love cookies SOOOOOOOOO much, I have an entire blog devoted to cookie decorating. My goal is to teach others how fun this hobby can be.
Today I’m going to show you how to make these precious penguin cookies using an egg shaped cookie as a base.
To make these cookies you will need:
- black piping and flood icing
- white 20-second icing {thin enough to flow, but thick enough to hold it’s shape a bit}
- colored piping and flood icing for sweaters {as many as you’d like}
- small black candy beads
- yellow 20-second icing
- toothpicks
Let the cookie dry for at least an hour or more, than flood the penguin’s body black, add a yellow beak, and finally outline sleeves on the sweater.
After a few minutes use black icing to add wings.
It’s a wonderful feeling to show up to a party with a beautiful platter of decorated sugar cookies. People will RAVE when they hear you made them yourself! If you’d like to learn more, please come visit my blog, The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle. There’s always cookies happening at my place!
it’s full of fabulous cookies!!

How precious are these! I have tried so many times to make good looking sugar cookies… For some reason I guess I am just not blessed with cookie skills. Maybe one day I will learn, but these… These are amazing!

I looked on Callye's blog and found a tip on red icing but not black. What is the secret to not having to whiten my kid's teeth after they eat one. I know I am doing it wrong! Help! I need penguin cookies. regina

These are soooooo cute! I think my favorite little detail is the sweater sleeves! The tiny size makes you just want to snuggle these little penguins, and that's what makes your work really come to life, Callye! 🙂

I just love these decorated cookies. But I have to ask, "Do they taste good?" Is the icing really hard?
