We’ve got a fun craft for the kids to do while they are on Winter Break. Since you know us so well, I’m sure you can guess that it involves Perler Beads. So, get them out and let’s get busy!
Not sure about you guys, but we don’t usually do a whole lot with the kids school photos. Mine are all tucked away into the kids memory boxes. This is a great craft to put those pictures to use. We also thought it would be fun to print some cute pictures off our phones with my Instax Smartphone Printer (which I’m in love with). The older girls appreciated being able to grab pictures with friends from Instagram. What a fun way to remember who they were hanging out with and a little bit about their personality this year.
Here’s what you need: [affiliate links included]
- Perler Beads
- cardstock
- craft glue
- photo
- ornament hanger
Before you start, you’ll want to decide on the photo you plan to use because that will determine your shape and size of the hole. Make sure the opening is small enough so the picture overlaps the frame enough to glue it down. Choose your colors and make your frame. After it’s all ironed, you can glue down your picture and the cardstock. Poke the ornament hanger into the top and there you have it!
You’re ornament is ready to hang on the tree!

Did you iron both sides of the frame or just the back side?
Jodie and Jen says
We like to just iron one side. 🙂
