Felt Flower Corsages

May42015 posted by Jodie and Jen 5 Comments

I think we all know that Mother’s Day is this Sunday.  It’s probably one of my most favorite days of the year.  The kids get all excited and think it’s so fun to go out of their way to do nice things for you! It just makes me all warm inside!
Many people get fresh flowers or corsages on this special day.  We thought we would give you another option so, moms could use them over and over.  Rolled Felt Flower Corsages!  They were so easy and I’m in love with how they turned out!
You’ll need:
3 felt circles – small (about 3 1/4″), medium (about 3 3/4″), large (about 4 1/4″)
[as seen above, they shouldn’t be perfect]
1 small circle to attach it all together
2 leaves
hot glue
scissors
metal brooch pin
Start cutting one circle from the outside toward the center.  Leave a small circle to glue the flower to itself after it’s rolled (see photo above).  Where you started your cut, start tightly rolling the felt until you can’t anymore.  Place some hot glue on the bottom and sit the flower on the remaining circle.  Do that with your other two circles.  Combine the flowers in a way that makes it look natural and glue them to the small circle.  Insert your leaves and glue them also.  Glue your brooch pin to the back. It’s all done!

We wanted to package it up nice so, we cut a scalloped circle with our punch and attached this cute tag.  Do you think our mom will like it?

I know I want one now!

Cute idea. I like your creativity. I don't think I would be able to pull it off though. I'd most likely end up with the typical mother's day card.

How big of a pin does this need?

Nothing too big. I think we used one that was about an inch long? Maybe a tag longer? 🙂

I am looking for something like this for my church on Mothers’ day. This looks easy enough but could you give me an idea how much time would go into making one of these and about how much cost is involved? I will need about 20 so I’m wondering if this will be something I could do. Thanks!
