Good morning everyone, Kim here from The Celebration Shoppe blog! I’m thrilled that the fabulous ladies of Eighteen 25 have invited me to share a little Spooktacular fun with all of you!
First of all, I LOVE this time of year. I just get giddy over the weather, the fun costumes, the decorations, the baking, the photo ops with my kiddos… and oh yeah… the crafts! {grin}
So today I’m sharing a super simple and fun craft, Jack-O-Lantern party favors, you can do with things you likely already have lying around the house. Plus, it’s a great one to have the kids join in on. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Plastic Easter eggs (you needed something to do with all of those, right?!)
- Mod Podge & brush
- Crepe paper (orange, black and green)
And here are a few super simple steps:
- Fill your egg with candies.
- Paint your closed egg with Mod Podge and wrap it with orange crepe. Allow it to set for a few minutes.
- Add a funny or scary jack-o-lantern face with black crepe and Mod Podge.
- Twist a 4″ piece of green crepe for the stem and attach with Mod Podge.
- Allow the eggs to set for several hours until completely dry.
I made a few more fun party favor versions of these eggs that I’ll be sharing on my blog later this week. Some might have wings… hope you’ll come see!
Plus, I’m giving away some frighteningly fun and FREE Sinister Sister Halloween printables. Come get yours and see what else might be brewing!
Thanks so much again to the fabulous Eighteen 25 sisters for having me! Happy Halloween everyone!

What a great idea. I've blogged about it and other halloween themed desserts here: http://controllingcraziness.blogspot.com/2012/10/inspiration-for-weekend-41-halloween.html
Thanks for sharing your creativity.
