I love that Silhouette advent calendar! Awesome. We have a similar one that is wooden with little boxes for each day and a door for each box. It's gotten harder to fill as my girls are getting older but this year I bought everything way ahead of time. I'm excited to get it down from the attic and fill it!!

I like to wrap up 24 Christmas books (I may have to buy one or two more). Beginning on December 1st, every evening we gather as a family, we sing some carols, read a scripture, open a Christmas book, read it it together, and have a treat. I haven't done this before, so I'm hoping it will be the start of a great new tradition.

Like Erin I wrap 24 Christmas books and then the kids open one every night. It has been the best countdown to Christmas we've done. My kids look forward to picking one out and opening it.
