Hey guys! Jenn here from Clean and Scentsible! I’m super excited to be back again this year for Eighteen 25’s Spooktacular series and I have a fun {and easy!} DIY project idea for candy corn bunting to share with you.
I’ve never really been into the scary Halloween decorating, but love anything to do with candy corn! This candy corn bunting can be used to decorate a mantle, top off a sign or chalkboard, or add some fun to your Halloween party decor. It’s really quick and inexpensive to make, and you can customize it to whatever length you would like. Here’s the tutorial on how to make this cute DIY craft.
MATERIALS
- Cupcake liners. You can either purchase one of each color or use a felt tip marker to color in the white ones.
- Glue stick.
- Baker’s twine.
- Tape.
INSTRUCTIONS
- You will need a yellow, orange, and white cupcake liner for each candy corn that you would like in your bunting. Start by folding all of your cupcake liners in half.
- For the yellow bottom layer, fold the cupcake liner in half again. Glue the ends together so it doesn’t unfold.
- For the orange middle layer, fold the cupcake liner into thirds. Glue the ends together.
- For the white top layer, fold the cupcake liner in half and then fold in half again. Glue the ends together.
- Insert the yellow liner into one of the inner folds of the orange liner and glue in place.
- Insert the orange liner into one of the inner folds of the white liner and glue in place. You can add some extra glue to any of the folds that seem to be sticking up so the candy corn lies fairly flat.
- Use tape to adhere the baker’s twine to the back of the candy corn and space them out evenly.
Your homemade party decoration candy corn bunting is now ready to hang wherever you would like!
