We are so excited to introduce our first Creative Team Member to you guys. Nora from Just Make Stuff is the only Creative Team member that we’ve had the opportunity to meet in real life and you will not believe how that came about. My sisters and I were in California in January for CHA and Nora went out of her way and took the time to drive to our hotel and bring us cold milk and the most delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. What? Who does that? Nora does. So, she’s pretty dang awesome if you ask us!!
Sean primed and spray painted the bricks and then simply stacked the fire pit together. Easy as that. Until his dad mentioned he hoped we hadn’t put gravel in the bottom because it can explode with the heat of the fire…so Sean carefully took each and every stone out of the bottom of the fire pit. If you build your own make sure not to use gravel in it…we made a base of sand instead.

What a great idea!! My grandson would love it because it looks like Legos!

Neat project. Might like to use the new vertical fire pit grate from FIREase. It makes these fires easy to build and start, minimizes maintenance and frees up more time to just enjoy the fire.

What a great idea to paint bricks! I love the splash of color and flavor it adds. Sometimes it can be hard to think outside the box, and this is great inspiration! I am a fan of gas fire pits that you can turn on and off with the push of a button, and they are super versatile, too! http://www.fireandwater.us building custom fire pits!

This is the perfect decor to liven up any outdoor living space! I bought an outdoor fire pit last month and it's not only aesthetically appealing, but it also expands our entertainment options. The kids especially enjoy roasting their marshmallows by the fire.

That looks so cool! I have to show this to my Wife! We have been wanting an outdoor fire pit for our home here in Denver for a wile, but I could do one like that on my own, and I am pretty sure that she would love it!

this is such a neat idea! i just bought GalleyDirect and I love it. I love the pop of color that you have and I might just try and paint this, if possible. If not, then I'll have to wait until I'm ready to try and build one. Thank you for the idea, looks nice and easy.

Cute idea. What did you use inside the pit to keep the bricks from burning?
Beth says
Love the look of your fire pit but was curious how well the bricks stay in place without using mortar to hold them in place?

How are the colors holding up?
