It’s time to start thinking about the next holiday… St. Patrick’s Day. I don’t really do a lot of decorating for St. Patrick’s Day, but I do like to pull out my Subway Art and few other cute things.
This Paper Strip Garland is (of course) super easy to put together and can be hung in so many different spots. On a mantel, over a door frame, on a shelf or it even looks cute on a headboard.
Supplies:
- Coordinating Scrapbook Paper
- Twine
- Stapler
Cut your paper into strips 3/4″ wide and in 3 different lengths. 12″, 10″ and 8″. Our sparkly gold paper was 11″ long so we just left it that length. Once you have all your strip cut out, lay them out in the order you like. Then just fold each strip in half over the twine and staple it at the very top. SO easy!
These would be fun to make for other holidays and celebrations or even to leave up all year! Just use paper that goes with the occasion and you are set.

Really liked the paper strip garland/bunting idea, so much so that me and the kids had a go at it the weekend before last. We were having a party at the family home for Paddy’s day as one side of the family are as about as Irish as they come (the other about as Russian as they come). We had all the young kids round and all the big kids (adults) too. We had a few comments (from the women of course) saying how great they looked. Couldn’t get the same style as you exactly but it looked pretty close. Was super simple to put together and the kids loved doing it so a definite for next year too. Thanks Jodie and Jen, sorry I didn’t post sooner, we have been away enjoying a well deserved break for the last couple of days and the family were looking after the little blighters to give us a bit of peace and quiet. Missed them like hell though (as always). Nat
