Hi! I’m Mique from Thirty Handmade Days and the Queen Bee Market. I’m so so so happy to be participating this month with all of these awesome ideas- thanks Jen, Jamie and Jodie for including me!
One of my favorite hobbies is making printables. I thought Spooktacular September was the perfect excuse to make a Halloween printable. With an abundance of candy and sweets at Halloween, how about a non-food related item to hand to school friends?
I had self sealing bags on hand but I headed to the dollar store to pick up some light up bracelets and sticks. This project is so simple and the kids love to get involved. I printed off the light up printable on cardstock (4 per sheet), had my youngest sign his name, stick a bracelet into the bag with the card and seal.
Tada! Done.
If you don’t have the bags, you could print the cards out and attach the light sticks or bracelets with a glue dot, ribbon or whatever you want.

I’d love for you to visit me at Thirty Handmade Days or come shop the Queen Bee Market this fall!!

How do you get the bracelets together without activating them?? Is there a certain brand I need to buy?

I was wanting to know the same thing about activating them… I just finished cutting out the printables and tried to bend the light up stick into a bracelet but it broke it and lit up? Hmm any ideas? I bought the bracelets at the dollar store. They didn't come already as a bracelet tho.. Just long sticks.
Thank you for such a cute idea and printable!

I've never heard of glowsticks that don't activate when bent. I did something similar with glow sticks for Valentine's Day, and we just cut two slits in the paper and slid the glow stick through. I've also seen bigger packs of glow sticks at target 15 for $1. Our dollar store only has 5 in a pack. Hope it helps!
