This week will be dedicated to
Christmas Advents
Christmas Advents
here at Eighteen25
We are excited to share some of the ways we like to countdown to Christmas in our homes.
* * * * * * * * * *
First off is the
Christmas Countdown Clipboard…
Christmas Countdown Clipboard…
I made this countdown a couple years ago and I get so excited to put it out on the first of December. Every day, the kids (and I) take turns removing a number. Watching as the days until Christmas get closer and closer (and my stress level goes higher and higher).
to make:
1. mod podge pattern paper to a clipboard using a foam brush.
2. print off “… days until christmas” on white cardstock. font used: elise
3. back in a solid cardstock
4. dot your i’s with sparkly fun brads.
5. print off numbers 1 through 25 on white cardstock. font used: broadcast
note: the number sheets are 5×7, so you can get 2 out of an 8.5×11 piece of cardstock.
6. and if you’re feeling fancy… tie some ribbon to the top.

let the countdowns begin!!

So cute! How do you get the darkened edges on your paper? Is that paint? Applied with a foam brush? Thanks!

I would love to know the font size you used for both the words and the numbers. I'm sure I could figure it out with a lot of trial and error…and wasted ink, but if you know it, so much better! This is really cute.

I love this idea! Every year, my kids beg me to buy them advent calendars, but I can't since my son cannot eat refined sugars and they always have candy or chocolate in them. Finally something we can do to count down the days AND we can decorate it together! Thanks for sharing!

I made one of these this afternoon. So fun! I did the whole thing start to finish in about 2 hrs (including drying time). You can see my version on my blog at http://scraplifters.blogspot.com/2010/11/christmas-countdown.html I included step by step directions for those that were curious about sizes.
Thanks for looking!

My oncle expected I could appreciate this website. It was absolutely true. This post really saved me a whole lot of time. You can't imagine simply how a good deal time I had used up for this information! Thanks!
In conclusion , permit me thank you for your patience with my English as (I am convinced you have figured this at this time ,), English is not my chief tongue thus I am using Google Translate to form out what to compose what I really have in mind to state.
