Christmas Subway Art + Banner

Nov222010 posted by Jamie 57 Comments

Alright you guys…
I think some of you might have missed this post over on Mod Podge Rocks Wednesday.
No worries… because we’re sharing it again…
Christmas Subway Art + Banner

Just 3 easy steps and you’ll have your own Christmas subway art to display.

1. Download and print the document.
This subway art is nice and big. 16×20! We had ours printed at *Costco.
(download the jpg HERE.)

2. Buy a frame.
We used a 40% off coupon and got a great deal on a frame from Aaron Brothers.

3. Add the print to the frame.
We’re sure you already know how to do that!  🙂

Now onto the banner…
You’ll need to download and print the pennants. Then gather some white cardstock, bias tape, and adhesive  and follow the simple steps we recently shared in a tutorial HERE.
Download Banner HERE

After the work is done, find a fireplace mantel or your favorite shelf and do a little arranging.

Hopefully you already made your Glitter Trees, so you’ll be all set.

* * * * * * * *

p.s. we’re sorry for making you guys wait for the subway art

*When ordering your print through Costco, it usually shows a Resolution Warning. (Not sure why, but we’ve never had a problem with the way it prints.)
*Also, under print options – check the “do not autocorrect my prints” box (thanks for sharing that with us Courtney)

I saw this on a couple of blogs last week and instantly fell in love!!! The colors match my living room Christmas decorations perfectly and I can't wait to put that bad boy in a frame on my mantle later this week! Thank you SO much for sharing this! I'm a new subscriber and can't wait to see all the wonderful things you gals come up with during the Christmas season!

Thank you, thank you for re-posting this!!! I bookmarked the picture last week after clicking on it, so I lost all the blog info and couldn't for the life of me remember where I found it! So frustrating!! And thanks for the download! I tried to copy yours in photoshop, but just didn't like it as much! And cute banner!
p.s. do you know the name of the font you used for jingle bells? Love it:)

Thanks so much for posting this again. I right clicked on the image and then downloaded it to Costco but it is telling the resolution is not good enough for a 16 x 20? Any suggestions?

When you are uploading your pictures to Costco and after you select which pictures you want to upload, there are two circles you can check. One is "fast" and the other is "full resolution." The fast option is for 4×6, 5×7 and 8×10. The full resolution option is for anything above an 8×10. If you click on that, you won't get the resolution warning.

A huge thank you! Since moving to Germany this summer, I find myself bummed sometimes because there is no Michael's or Jo Annes to run to when I want to copy a project. Being able to print this off my computer is a huge help!

Love, love, love, love, everything about this. Love the trees, love the art, love the banner. Love the eighteen25 gals. LOVE! And I'm still singing loud and genuine praises to your mantle for it's assistance in talking my husband into allowing "teal" into our celebrations this year. I showed him your mantle, and said "see how cool this looks?" and he agreed. It DOES look cool. And now I have brand new teal ornaments sitting in a bag….waiting to be hung! You guys rock!

Sorry to be a best but I am so excited to print the poster but when I uploaded it to Costco following your directions (I did click the full resolution) it still is not a good enough resolution. I clicked on the one in the post and then right clicked to save it. Wondering if the pdf version would work better but can you convert a pdf to a jpg so you can upload it to Costco. Thanks for your help!!

Help! I'm right clicking but it won't allow me to change the format. It keeps coming up as a bitmap. I'm a technotard, but I can follow basic instructions so I should be able to figure this out, but I can't.

i saved it as a bmp (couldn't save as jpg) then right clicked on the saved image and clicked open with paint, in paint you can save as in jpg form. i sent it to my snapfish account and the resolution was fine for any size up tp 16×20.

so glad you guys posted the subway art and that it was a free download! thanks!!!

I actually did see this over on Mod Podge Rocks and did it! My daughter and I both loved it and as she is on a strict budget, I did one for both of us. I have the post about it drafted and ready to post on Friday. I will come back and let you know so you can see it. I mention and link to you! Thanks so much for sharing it!

My daughter wants to try the trees next and I bought everything except the candleholders so far. I'm just seeing a mess in my mind at the moment, but I'm sure the outcome will be great!

LOVE the subway art. Thanks so much for sharing the free download. Sent it to Costco ($5.99), got the low resolution warring but turned out fine as you mentioned. Ran to Michaels and got a clearance frame to put it all in. LOVE, Love, love it! Any chance of doing a similar one for the next season/holiday??? 🙂

Thank you so much. I saw this last week and am so excited to make it! I've got my picture ordered and send to Costco and my banner pages printed! LOVE IT!

A couple quick questions. Any suggestions for helping the glitter stay put on the trees? Do you spray something over the top? Also on the banner, do you print the pattern onto card stock or just regular paper then back it on card stock? Thanks again!
