summer to-do list

May312011 posted by Jamie 35 Comments

we know some of you have already done this summer’s to-do list. that’s because you’re awesome and sooo on top of things. us three have a bad case of procrastination-itis, so ours are just now getting done.
we wanted to be able to share the entire frame insert with you this year. but, make sure you check last year’s list to see other ways to get it done.

click on the color of your choice to be taken to the download. make sure to do the top + bottom.
2011summerplanspink01 2011summerplansaqua01 2011summerplansorange01 2011summerplansyellow01 2011summerplansgreen012011summerplanspink02 2011summerplansaqua02 2011summerplansorange02 2011summerplansyellow02 2011summerplansgreen02

what you’ll need:
  • 11 3/4 x 36 inch frame
  • download in your choice of color
  • black permanent marker

what you’ll do:

  • print off both sections of your 12×18 summer to-do list (we printed ours at costco)
  • line the two sheets up so that the stripes match up
  • tape the back of them together
  • trim about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off one side so they’ll fit into your frame
  • place the list into your frame behind the glass
  • use a permanent marker to write down all of your summer to-do’s
  • then mark them off when the fun is had

*note: the permanent marker will wipe right off with windex

what are some exciting items you’ll be adding to your to-do list this summer?

    Another tip –

I used lamination sheets INSIDE and wrote with dry erase then framed it.

That way the glass doesn't get permanent marker on it. 🙂

Great! I just did our list (http://eastcoastmommyblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/super-summer-checklist.html), but I might print it out on using your paper to make it pretty. 🙂

This is another great idea. How in the world do y'all come up with this stuff? I swear I'm the mother of 5 great kiddos, but I don't have a crafty or original bone in my body.
I love the idea of lists like these, it keeps them from saying the dreadful words…" Mom, I'm bored." Deadgummit, can you believe I heard those words yesterday and we haven't even hit our first day of summer break yet. Today is our first day.
This little list is going to save me…I hope.

Adorable. You sisters have the best ideas. My daughter goes to year around school so is off only for the month of July. She is also off all of November & March. I guess I will need a shorter list. How fun.

Can't wait to do this with my kiddos 🙂 We live in Vegas so I was checking out our list of things to do – what waterpark do you go to??? Our local pool (silver mesa) has a fun play area and one slide, but if there is a real water park in Vegas my kids would love it! Thanks! 🙂

I love this! We have already started a list today. We had things ranging from making our own ice cream and having an "Amazing Race" to watching fireworks on the fourth and teaching my eight year old how to type (his idea). I also linked to your blog on my facebook page as when I posted about this they got excited. Thanks for the great idea!!!

I'm loving your printables this year – thanks! I used one of these for my To Do list for the summer (posted on my blog http://alaynascreations.blogspot.com/2011/05/summer-plans-part-1.html) and I also printed off the Stay Cool tags for the teachers. Actually the Stay Cool tags did double duty. I sent freezer pops for the teachers, then printed them off in smaller sizes and attached them to ice cream sandwiches that I handed out to the kids when they got off the bus on the last day of school.
