heart wreaths

Jan52011 posted by Jamie 36 Comments

Last January, the three of us girls got together with a DVR’d episode of Grey’s Anatomy… felt… styrofoam hearts… scissors and straight pins and got busy making these super cute Valentine’s Day decorations from The Idea Room. We cut sooo many circles out that night, but it was sooo worth it. We each did our hearts a little bit different…

(jennifer’s)

{jodie’s}

aren’t they cute?
did you make one?

    I made one last year too. I gave it away. I may have to make myself one this year!

    I love the different looks of the same basic project! I couldn't choose which one I like the best — they are each so cute!

    I love how ruffly they are. I was looking for a wreath idea for Valentines day. This will be my first year doing wreaths for anytime other than Christmas. Thanks for sharing.

    I made a white round one for my mom for Christmas this year (that I first saw on design sponge). It turned out really well & now I want to make more, but I had a worn spot on my pinky from the scissors for weeks… not sure I'm ready to endure that again 😉

    Cute wreath! I LOVE Valentines day!!! I have a tutorial on my sidebar on how to make a Valentine Chair Backer. A Pouch for all your valentine goodies. I love them. Here is the link http://ourscoop.blogspot.com/2009/01/valentine-chair-backers.html

    I just found your blog and became a subscriber. I just want to say THANK YOU for allowing your blog to be fully read in google reader. I hate it when I can't view blogs in reader. I don't have the time to go to every blog page.

    Your blog looks fun! I want to brave that heart wreath! I wonder if I can cut out those felt circles with my cricut.

    I did make one. I made mine all in one color and I was able to get the deep burgundy that Amy used. And it started a wreath obsession. I now have several wreaths for my interior door. I am always working on a new one. Much to DH's dismay. LOL

    I just finished making mine & I love how it came out. I went through almost 2 yards of felt. I think I probably used more than was necessary but I love how it turned out! I'll be posting pics on my blog… http://angelasheartwork.blogspot.com

    Came across these when I was doing a search on your blog for Valentine's ideas. They are all so lovely. Definately worth your hard work.
    BTW in the background of Jennifer's pic there is on display "la la love you". Love it! Where can I find a copy of this? Can you please let me know: cropcafe(at)bigpond(dot)net(dot)au
