The leaves will not start falling for a few more weeks around here in Southern California…and there are about three trees total that actually have fall colors among the million palm trees. So to make up for that, I painted a bunch of colorful leaves myself.
I got out the watercolor paper and a leaf diecut. Then I mixed a bunch of colors together on the leaves, some plain rectangles of paper, and the negative space from the diecuts.
I stuck everything to a 12 x12 canvas with a glue stick and layered with some foam tape for a little dimension.
It’s messy, imperfect, crooked, mismatched, and the most fun I have had crafting in awhile.
