Thanksgiving Paper Cones

Nov92016 posted by Rachel 8 Comments

Hi friends! Rachel from Fawn here with you today! Thanksgiving will be here before you know it and as you’re thinking of all the delicious dinner details, here’s an idea to keep those little ones occupied while the adults are in the kitchen chatting and slaving away over that turkey dinner!
These fun cones double as place cards for the little ones at the children’s table. Fill them with crayons, treats, little toys, coloring pages and whatever else you can think of to keep those little hands entertained.
Although I made these with children in mind, I think they would make a lovely Friendsgiving gift to give to the hostess, friends and neighbors. Fill them with cozy socks, lip balm and tea packets and a gift card to their favorite store.

They’re quick and easy so let’s get started!
Using a cone template, trace the template around your pattern paper and cut out.

Run a bead of glue along the edge of the paper, roll into a cone and allow to dry.

Punch holes on each side of the cone and thread ribbon through each hole. Secure ribbon inside cone with a knot.

Tie coordinating lace and ribbon around one side of the handle.

Cut out Thanksgiving images and adhere to the front of the cone.

Print out child’s name on white cardstock and cut out.  Punch a hole in the corner of the name tag and attach with ribbon to the handle.

Rachel believes in creating occasions to celebrate rather than waiting for them. Unbirthdays and the changing of the season are just a few of her favorite holidays. As a work from home mom her day job also includes multiple dress-up changes, elaborate role playing and excessive tea parties. In her free time she can be found scouring thrift shops for inspiration, hiking with her husband and 5 year old daughter and, of course, brainstorming her next party.

Hi Kris! These aren’t printables… she just used some cute scrapbook paper to make them. 🙂
