Hi everyone! It’s Marie from Make and Takes, sharing a fun family-friendly Halloween craft. We’re all about kids and crafts over at Make and Takes, so I’m thrilled to be sharing something fun here today!
We’re making some Spooky Halloween Watercolor Ghosts that pop out to give you a boo-tastic surprise! You can craft these up to use as a gift tag for your neighbors and friends on Halloween. These would go great tied to a bag of candy witch brooms or pumpkin cookie pops! Yum!
Watercolor crafts are just the activity to do with the kids after school. Set up your watercolor station and get to work on these cute crafty cards!
Supplies for Halloween Watercolor Ghosts:
-
watercolors
-
watercolor paper
-
paint brush
-
white crayon
-
scissors
-
hole punch
-
twine or ribbon
1. Cut your watercolor paper to size. We made our tags 3×4 inches.
2. With your white crayon, draw a spooky Halloween ghost! Add text or any other spooky Halloween objects to your paper. NOTE: it’s a little hard to see the white crayon as you draw, but it actually makes these a little more spooky!
3. Add black watercolor paint to your paint brush and paint your whole paper tag with the watery black paint. The more water the better, it will spread easier and shows up really well.
4. Let these dry and then punch a whole at the top of your tag. Thread a piece of twine through the top and tie it up.
It’s ready to gift with your Halloween surprise!
