Welcome back today…

With Father’s Day just around the corner I am excited to share with you a fun and easy gift for that special SUPERHERO dad in your life. Give him a gift that will make him smile and will remind him how much he is loved every time he wears it.
Supplies needed:
- Adult size canvas apron {I purchased mine from Oriental Trading, but they can be purchased at a craft store as well.}
- Iron on transfer paper for light fabrics. {I used Jolee’s Boutique transfer paper and I just loved how beautifully it worked.}
- FREE Superhero dad iron on transfer from Lauren McKinsey.
A few tips:
-
Wash the canvas apron prior to ironing on the iron on transfer pattern.
-
Preheat your iron to the HIGHEST setting but DO NOT USE STEAM.
-
Pre-iron to remove any wrinkles.
-
Using steady pressure and your body weight, glide the iron VERY slowly over each area of the entire transfer making sure to cover all areas and corners for 90-120 seconds total. If using only 1/2 of the sheet, iron for about 40-60 second total.
-
Allow the transfer to cool completely and then remove the backing paper using a smooth and even motion.
I have used several types of iron on transfer paper and this brand by far has been my favorite! Plus it has 10 sheets! Think of ALL the projects you can do with 10 sheets.
I hope that you enjoy this project as much as I enjoyed creating it for you!
To all the SUPERHERO dads out there – Happy Father’s Day!
