Halloween is one of the best holidays to craft for! So I’m excited to be a part of the eighteen25 girls’ fun event again this year! My name is Linda and you can find me at Craftaholics Anonymous®.
So this year I decided to go with a black and white theme for my Halloween decor. Which is really different for me! I usually do the standard orange, black, green, and purple. But I thought I’d mix things up a bit for fun. I’ve still got several awesome crafts I’m working on for my mantel and front porch, but I thought I’d share a quick, easy craft I did for my Halloween mantelscape.
I made a couple chalkboard wood slices to decorate for Halloween with. This one is fun next to my Apothecary Jars. They add a nice natural element to my Halloween decor. Plus they are super easy and I can reuse them for other holidays or even just hang them on the wall.
I found these killer wood slices in the wood section at the craft store, painted on 2 coats of black chalkboard paint, then seasoned it by rubbing chalk all over it. Then had fun doodling Halloween art on them! Super quick and easy! That’s my style.
