Please Welcome: Candice from Designing Delicious Adventures

Hello Eighteen25 readers!  I am Candice and I just started blogging at Designing Delicious Adventures.  I just love this time of year- I look forward to Fall’s crisp temperatures and the abundance of delicious apple and pumpkin sweets, as well as amazing opportunities to craft Halloween goodies!  I am thrilled to be part of Eighteen25’s Spooktacular September.  Today, I wanted to share an idea for an incredibly easy Halloween treat bag.

Here’s what you need for this project:

  • Scrapbook paper featuring a spiderweb background
  • A fun spider embellishment (mine came from Michael’s craft store)
  • Festive ribbon
  • Glitter
  • Adhesive tape
  • Scissors
  • Mini-treat bags
  • Hole punch
  • Foam tape
  • Zig 2-way glue (chisel tip)
  • Card stock (I used white, purple, and green)
  • Spiderweb Sayings Printable- Download HERE

Step 1: Cut out your spiderweb background paper into a rectangular shape that is approximately 4.75-in x 2.5-in.  I cut 2 corners off one end to achieve a tag look.

Step 2: Print the Spiderweb Sayings onto a piece of white card stock.  Cut one of the sayings into a rectangular shape.

Step 4: Adhere the glittered saying onto a colored piece of card stock that is trimmed to leave a 1/4-in border around all sides.

Step 5: Adhere the final product to the spiderweb background tag that you created in Step 1 using a small piece of foam tape.

Step 6: Position the tag on the treat bag where you would like it to hang.  Then, punch a hole through one end of the tag and the first layer of the opened treat bag.  Thread your ribbon through both holes and tie a bow.

Step 7: Add the fun spider embellishment clip to your bag to complete the look!  I found these adorable spiders at Michael’s.

…Voila!  A homemade spin on a Halloween treat bag that is perfect and easy to make for any children’s party you are hosting!

Thanks so much to the lovely ladies of Eighteen25 for letting me share this idea today.  Let me know if you have any questions!  When I’m not posting family updates or craft how-to’s on my personal blog, you can find me over at The Dating Divas sharing creative date ideas.  I just finished a fun post called “Love’s Laboratory,” which could easily be tweaked into a Mad Scientist Halloween family fun night… oh the fun possibilities surrounding this Holiday!

These bags are just too fun! I think I'll make up a few to have on hand for October!
