instagram photo collage

Jan92013 posted by Jamie 23 Comments

i put together this 12×12 instagram collage when i was finishing up my new office space last fall.
the collage was so easy to put together and now i get to look up at all of those fun photos from the last year.
frame from target
want to make one (or two) for yourself?

• using photoshop elements, open the 12×12 psd file (you can download it HERE)
• open all of the photos you want to use
• drag your photos onto the 12×12

• then place your photos between the background layer and the top layer. (to re-size the photos, hit CTRL-T and then drag the corner until you have the right size)
• flatten the image and save as a jpeg
• print! (i sent mine to costco and had it printed as a 12×12 for only $2.99)

some of you have asked about printing your instagram photos like i did on this project…

you can download the 4×6 file HERE and add your photos the same way as you would on the 12×12 collage. leave a small border around your photos when cutting them out.

You can also print your instagram photos at Persnickety Prints ;). http://www.persnicketyprints.com. They are awesome. They print loads of sizes. including 2×2- 5×5 for instagram photos. They also have a few templates- for 8×8 and 12×12. They are different amounts of pictures, so not the same as this one.
You can also get instagram pics on your computer by emailing them to self, using a program like dropbox and/or google+, or I think just plugging your phone into your computer and moving files. Oh, and the ss card way as well. Just in case you need more ways lol.
Thank you for the template, I am excited to use it!

As a closet collagist, I appreciate the post. It reminds me that I've not created one in some time. This is a great post for the beginner, or the enthusiast who needed a shot in the arm. Onward collage!

    I love this idea!
You can do this with Picasa as well, if you don't have Photoshop. It's easy and free.
