Summer of Groupon | Zermatt Resort

My family and I just returned from an amazing vacation this past week. We took a trip up to beautiful Midway, Utah. 

Before we left, I booked us rooms through Groupon getaways. It was the easiest thing to do… select the room we wanted and the dates that worked for us and we were all set. I couldn’t decide between two of the resorts, so I reserved them both for two nights each.

Our first stop was the Zermatt, a Swiss themed Resort. We fell in love as soon as we drove up the hill. We couldn’t wait to get out of the car and explore the property. 

  

There was so much to do around the resort, you really have no reason to leave. I think the kids enjoyed feeding the goats the most and swimming in the indoor and outdoor pools was probably their second favorite activity. We played mini golf and jumbo checkers. There’s also shuffle board, horse shoes, a carousel, tennis courts and a volleyball court. And while Dad watched his sports in the evening, we played board games that we borrowed from the front desk. Just down the hall from our room, we had chess and a pool table too.

  
 

One of my favorite parts was the great food. We ate at Matty’s Bistro twice while we were there. The food was delicious and my daughter discovered she’s a big fan of Pork Schnitzel.

 

The dessert there is just as yummy, but my favorite spot was the Backerei and Eis Bakery. Pastries, gelato and lattes, oh my!!

 

The staff… they were just as amazing as the views surrounding the resort. Very friendly and helpful. Our stay here was the best ever and we can’t wait to return next summer.
