Here’s another banner idea
using simple shapes and a frightfully fun font…
supplies used:
• black cardstock
• patterned paper
• ribbon
• adhesive
• an old ink pad
• scissors
to make:
• using my silhouette, i cut out 6 scallop squares (from the 4 scalloped shapes) at 5″ each.
• then i cut the patterned paper into 3 3/4″ squares and lightly inked the edges.
• cut out the letters for whatever word you want. font used: blackoninaut bold and the text size is 382 pt.
• adhere everything together and then tie the squares together with pieces of 6″ ribbon.

I love this! I've been looking to make a simple banner that isn't gaudy and/or overdoing it. Can't wait to try it!
