This Dollar Store Halloween Wreath is going to knock your socks off!! It’s the perfect Halloween Decoration to greet guests hanging on your front door!
Hello, my name is Vanessa from Tried & True and I’m a spook-aholic, which means I absolutely adore Spooktacular September! Halloween is my favorite holiday and I’m so super honored that the lovely eighteen25 ladies allowed me to share this Dollar Store Halloween Wreath with you all. I know, hands down, you’re going to love it!
I love making minimal and inexpensive wreaths all year round but it seems especially perfect for Halloween. This Dollar Store Halloween Wreath looks like a normal metallic wreath from a distance but once you get closer, your guests will realize that those skeleton hands are adorning your door. Super fun way to greet your spooky little guests on Halloween night!
Dollar Store Halloween Wreath
Materials: (affiliate links are included)
-
Small Chalkboard Circle
-
Hot Glue Gun/Glue
Instructions:
Step One. Collect your supplies. Most of these supplies can be found for a dollar or less (except spray paint). The hands are from Dollar Tree and Chalkboard/Chalk Pen are from Target’s Dollar Spot. Halloween is the perfect holiday for cheap crafts!
Step Two. Apply a few even layers of silver spray paint over the hands. Everything looks better with metallic spray paint, including cheap plastic skeleton hands!
Step Three. Apply a liberal amount of hot glue to the back of the hands and affix in place around the black chalkboard. You can always go back and add more glue if you need to. Can you tell someone’s a little trigger happy with her glue gun?!
Step Four. Use your chalk pen to create a design in the center. A word of warning: chalk pens don’t erase very well and will leave a slight “ghost” imprint. (If you look closely at my center you’ll see the first “Boo!” design I wrote but ended up trying to erase.)
Step Five. Attach string to the back if needed. My little chalkboard actually came with a hanging handle so that was super “handy”!
For a little more than 15 bucks you too can have an awesome Dollar Store Halloween Wreath. Hope you consider trying your hand at this wreath, let me know if you need any help and I’ll try to give you a hand!

Looks like it might be easier to write on the chalkboard before attaching it to the hands.

This is a SPOOTACULAR idea! Thank you for sharing. I think I am going to try this with glow-in-the-dark spray paint. I’ll take a pix & post it to you as the creator…”It’s alive Igor”, oops, wrong creation. Thanks again!
