Baked Spaghetti

  • 1 16 oz package of spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 32 oz jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 5 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 2 Cups Small Curd Cottage Cheese, divided
  • 4 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish
  3. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain.
  4. In a large skillet cook meat and onion until meat is browned and onions are soft. Drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and seasoned salt.
  5. Wisk eggs, parmesan cheese and butter in a large bowl. Mix in spaghetti noodles to egg mixture and toss to coat. Place half the spaghetti mixture in the baking dish. top with half the cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes. Cheese should be melted and lightly browned.
